The Baume & Mercier William Baume Retrograde Seconds ref. MOA08840 carries his name in 18k red gold, numbered as one of just 179.
At six o'clock, a serpentine red gold hand counts thirty seconds along an arc before flying back to zero, answered at twelve by a big date read across separate tens and units discs, a pairing that keeps the dial in constant, legible motion. This is the black-dial second edition, distinct from the silver first edition of 178, its hand moving against a guilloché centre.
