Years before Maurice Lacroix gave the Croneo name to its Roger Federer Chronometer in 2005, the name belonged to its 1990s mechanical chronographs, among them the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Croneo ref. 67413. The house's parent company had acquired the casemaker Queloz in 1989, and in 1990 Maurice Lacroix launched the high-end mechanical line later named Masterpiece.
Inside is a Valjoux 7750-based automatic chronograph that Maurice Lacroix signed as its own, the same base the house later chose for that Federer chronometer. A gold bezel over steel and an engine-turned dial with Roman numerals give this sporting movement the poise of a dress watch.
Europa Star catalogued this configuration and noted its hand-decorated movement with blued screws, displayed behind a sapphire back. The magazine later called the Croneo line's movement a perfected Valjoux 7750. Ref. 67413 is no longer in production.
Graded Excellent, this is a Croneo to wear and to keep: a Swiss chronograph from the early years of the Masterpiece line, carrying the name Maurice Lacroix later gave to its Federer chronometer.

As an additional safeguard, Luxepolis screens watches against recognised independent stolen-watch registers and recovery databases. Where available and appropriate, checks may also be conducted through manufacturer-operated stolen-watch or ownership-verification programmes.
