The Saint Laurent Loulou carries the name of Loulou de la Falaise, the jewellery designer who was Yves Saint Laurent's muse and close friend. Anthony Vaccarello created it for the house, and the Toy is its smallest size.
The flap is fronted by the interlocking monogram drawn by A.M. Cassandre in 1961, here in an aged gold tone that sits beautifully against the soft grey leather. Chevron quilting gives the Loulou its plump, cushioned look, and a matching gold-tone buckle adjusts the leather strap for shoulder or cross-body wear.
PurseBlog traces the Loulou to Spring 2017 and records the Toy at 7.8 x 5.5 x 2.7 inches, compact enough to wear cross-body all day. Harvey Nichols currently lists the Toy at £1,275 new.
Graded Excellent, this grey Toy is a quieter, more versatile alternative to black: sized for phone, cards and keys, and ready to ship.
