Description:
Montblanc Writers Edition William Shakespeare Fountain Pen Limited Edition 1597
William Shakespeare, born in 1564, was one of the most famous poets and dramatists of all time and is broadly acknowledged as the greatest writer in the English language. His masterpieces like "Romeo & Juliet", "Hamlet" and "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" belong to the most popular and frequently performed plays in the literary world. The octagonal shape on the cap recalls the Globe Theatre in London - The William Shakespeare Theatre. The black and white colors of the writing instrument are inspired by the different flags of the theater, which indicated the genre of the play: white for comedy, black for tragedy. The structure of the barrel is inspired by his Quill pen and the cone ring is dedicated to the elements of each major play - "Hamlet", "Romeo & Juliet", "Henry V" and "A Midsummer Night's Dream". The clip together with the ring is inspired by Shakespeare's signature earring and the Au 750 solid gold nib is designed from a scene in "Romeo & Juliet". The Writers Edition William Shakespeare is limited to 1597 pieces in reference to his most important play, "The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet", issued in 1597.
